Tryptyr (acoltremon) is a TRPM8 thermoreceptor agonist used for the treatment of the signs and symptoms of dry eye disease (DED).

Recommended Dosage:
Instill one drop in each eye twice daily (approximately 12 hours apart). Wash your hands before instilling. Use single-dose vials immediately after opening, and use to dose both eyes. Discard the single-dose vial, including any remaining contents, quickly after use. This medicine can be used concomitantly with other topical ophthalmic eye drops. In case more than one topical ophthalmic drug is being used, the drugs need to be administered at least five (5) minutes apart. Remove contact lenses before the administration, and may be reinserted 15 minutes after administration.
If one dose of Tryptyr ophthalmic solution is missed, treatment should continue with the next scheduled dose.

• Avoid direct contact between the eye or any surface and the dropper tip. Improper use may be responsible for causing mechanical eye injury or contaminating the solution, increasing the probability of infection. Always replace the cap properly following each use to prevent contamination.
• Remove contact lenses before instilling Acoltremon 0.003% ophthalmic solution. Wait at least 15 minutes after application before reinserting lenses. This prevents lens discoloration or absorption of preservatives that may be responsible for irritating or damaging the ocular surface.
• Use this therapeutic drug during pregnancy only if needed. There is very little human data available, and animal studies may not completely predict fetal risk.
