VISTOGARD (Uridine Triacetate) Oral Granules

VISTOGARD (uridine triacetate) oral granules, from Wellstat Therapeutics, are indicated for the emergency treatment of adult and pediatric patients following a fluorouracil or capecitabine overdose, or those who exhibit early-onset, severe or life-threatening toxicity affecting the cardiac or central nervous system, and/or early-onset, unusually severe adverse reactions within 96 hours of the end of administration.

Uridine triacetate is a pyrimidine analog that competes with fluorouracil metabolites, reversing and preventing further fluorouracil-induced cellular toxicity when administered promptly.

• Must be administered as soon as possible after a fluorouracil/capecitabine overdose or severe toxicity, ideally within 96 hours, for effectiveness.
• Vomiting and diarrhea are commonly reported.
• Do not administer chemotherapy for at least 4 days following the last dose of VISTOGARD, or per treating physician guidance.
• This is an emergency-use product and should only be administered under close medical supervision.
