Xphozah (Tenapanor) Tablets

  • Medicine Name: Xphozah
  • Active Ingredient (API): Tenapanor
  • Dosage Form & Strength: Tablets: 30 mg

Medical Uses

Xphozah (tenapanor), from Ardelyx, is indicated to reduce serum phosphorus in adults with chronic kidney disease on dialysis, as an add-on therapy in patients who have an inadequate response to phosphate binders or who are intolerant of any dose of phosphate binder therapy.

Tenapanor is a sodium/hydrogen exchanger 3 (NHE3) inhibitor. By inhibiting NHE3 in the gut, it reduces the paracellular absorption of dietary phosphate, helping to lower serum phosphorus levels in dialysis patients.
