This therapeutic drug is injected into the face using a small needle.

Inject it at 0.1 milliliters per linear centimeter into the nasolabial fold wrinkles. The recommended treatment regimen is three treatment sessions at 3 to 6-week intervals.
- Treatment with LaViv may cause severe hypersensitivity reactions, including anaphylaxis. Patients should be monitored for signs of allergic reactions during and after the injection. Emergency medical treatment should be available to manage severe reactions.
- The use of this medicinal product can result in bleeding and bruising at the injection site. Patients with bleeding disorders or those taking anticoagulants should use caution and be monitored closely during treatment.
- Vasculitis, an inflammation of the blood vessels, has been reported in patients receiving Azficel-T. Symptoms can include fever, weight loss, fatigue, and muscle or joint pain. Patients should be monitored for signs of vasculitis, and appropriate medical management should be initiated if necessary.
- There is a risk of herpes labialis (cold sores) reactivation with Azficel-T treatment. Patients with a history of herpes infections should be informed about this risk and monitored for symptoms. Antiviral therapy may be considered for those at high risk.
- There is a theoretical risk that the cells used in LaViv may contribute to the development of malignancies. Patients should be informed of this potential risk, although no direct link has been established.
- Treatment with Azficel-T may increase the risk of keloid formation, particularly in patients with a history of keloids or hypertrophic scarring. These patients should be carefully evaluated before treatment.
- The safety of LaViv in pregnant or breastfeeding women has not been established. It is not recommended for use during pregnancy or breastfeeding due to the potential risk to the fetus or infant.
