Xolremdi (mavorixafor) is a CXC chemokine receptor 4 antagonist used for the treatment of patients aged 12 years and older with WHIM syndrome, a rare primary immunodeficiency disease characterized by Warts, Hypogammaglobulinemia, Infections, and Myelokathexis. Mavorixafor functions as a CXCR4 antagonist, helping to mobilize white blood cells from the bone marrow into the bloodstream, thereby improving immune function. This medication aims to reduce the frequency and severity of infections and other complications associated with WHIM syndrome.
Recommended Dosage: The recommended dosage of Xolremdi in patients weighing more than 50 kg is 400 mg orally once daily on an empty stomach after an overnight fast, and at least 30 minutes before food. The recommended dosage in patients weighing less than or equal to 50 kg is 300 mg orally once daily on an empty stomach after an overnight fast, and at least 30 minutes before food. Swallow the capsules whole. It is not advisable to open, break, or chew capsules. If a dose is missed, the next dose should be taken as scheduled. Never take more than one dose each day.
